Nicholas Rosin is an emerging metalsmith and engraver furthering his practice in Halifax, NS. While earning his BFA at NSCAD University in jewellery design and metalsmithing, Rosin studied abroad in Pforzheim, Germany. There he learned the technique of hand engraving and has made it the primary focus of his work. Upon graduation in 2015 Rosin has since held numerous workshops and public demonstrations, exhibited work at the Mary E Black Gallery and Ornamentum Gallery, and participated in craft fairs. As a jewellery artist, a course instructor, and gallery coordinator at the NS Centre for Craft, he pursues his interests in craft and the involvement with the local craft community.
